Vodafone Business Services, the enterprise arm of Vodafone India, recently hosted a flagship series intended primarily for its corporate customers to come together for a common interest – golf. The 7th edition of the Vodafone Golf Swing took place at Poona Golf Course and was managed by Livewire Events & Promos.
Commenting on the event, a Livewire spokesperson said: “We won the mandate for the event based on our ideas. Having worked with Vodafone for over a 100 events, there was already a sense of understanding of what the event needed to be a success. Keeping in line with the main focus of the brand – ‘Customer First’, the property has set high standards in corporate golf in terms of the event format.”
Livewire managed the event’s execution, co-ordination, F&B, artist management, etc. Adding further, he said: “The brief demanded an event design that focused not only on golf but networking and business interactions as well. The event had to be very well-thought-of in order to get the tonality right and serve the audiences perfectly.”
It was an elaborate day-long event which started at 6.30 am with the registrations and briefing, followed by the game and eventually concluded with cocktails and lunch for all the guests. TV host Neha Sareen anchored the event.
At the event, Vodafone also accepted contributions for its CSR program ‘World of Difference’. This year, the initiative aims at supporting girl child education in Rajasthan.To serve this purpose, Livewire came up with the Golf Swing Wall of Fame – a collection of photographs of all the participants of the series. For this, every team was photographed at the start of the game and these photographs were later framed and put up on the wall of fame before the presentation ceremony.
